My Priorities
Focused on Students. Â Committed to educators. Â Dedicated to our community.Â
Priority One
Prioritizing Students
My Perspective

Every decision the Board makes should answer one simple question:
Will this improve outcomes for students?

Our students deserve more than short-term fixes. As Natomas continues to grow, we need thoughtful, long-term decisions that strengthen our schools. Every school community has different strengths and challenges, and our decisions should reflect those differences—not rely on one-size-fits-all solutions.

What Needs to Change

Students should be at the center of every budget, policy, and long-term decision.

That means investing in safe schools, strong academics, student well-being, and ensuring resources are invested where they'll have the greatest impact. Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, and every school deserves the support it needs to help students thrive.
Key Focus Areas
Safe & Supportive Schools
Safe, welcoming campuses where every student feels valued and ready to learn.
Academic Excellence
Supporting strong academics and meaningful opportunities for every learner.
Student Well-Being
Supporting the whole child through belonging, mental wellness, and access to resources.
Every School Matters
Decisions that reflect the unique strengths and needs of every Natomas school community.
My Commitment
I'll keep students at the center of every decision and support thoughtful, long-term solutions that strengthen every Natomas school community.
Priority Two
Empowering Teachers
My Perspective

The people who have the greatest impact on student success are the people working directly with students every day.

What Needs to Change

Natomas has incredible educators, but for too long, teachers have been asked to do more with less.

As enrollment continues to grow, we need to invest more directly in classrooms, recruit and retain outstanding teachers and staff, and ensure educators have the support they need to succeed.

That includes strengthening special education services by making Natomas a district where qualified teachers and specialists want to build long-term careers. Families should never feel like they have to fight for the services their children deserve.
Key Focus Areas
Recruit & Retain Great Educators
Making Natomas a district where outstanding educators choose to build, and continue, their careers by offering competitive wages.Â
Invest in Classrooms
Prioritizing district investments that directly support students, educators, and classrooms.
Equip Teachers for Success
Ensuring educators have the resources, tools, and support they need to help every student.
Respect Educator Expertise
Valuing teacher voices and partnering with educators in thoughtful decision-making.
My Commitment
I'll advocate for district investments that prioritize classrooms, strengthen our workforce, and give educators the support they need to help every student succeed.
Priority Three
Building Trust
My Perspective
Trust isn't built through promises.
It's built by listening, communicating honestly, and making decisions people can understand—even when those decisions are difficult.

What Needs to Change

Over the past several years, I've heard from parents, teachers, and staff who don't feel heard by district leadership.

Families deserve meaningful opportunities to share concerns. Educators deserve to be respected as professionals. And our community deserves to understand how decisions are made and how district resources are invested.

Building trust starts with transparency, collaboration, and leadership that's willing to listen before making decisions.
Key Focus Areas
Fiscal Transparency
Responsible stewardship of district resources, ensuring every dollar is invested where it has the greatest impact on students.
Transparent Leadership
Making decisions openly so families understand how and why they're made.
Community Collaboration
Establish regular community listening sessions and educator roundtables to ensure families, teachers, and staff have a meaningful voice in district decisions.
Long-Term Vision
Planning beyond today's challenges to build stronger schools for the future.
