Why I'm Running

For more than a decade, I've had the privilege of serving Natomas schools as a volunteer, PTSA leader, and community advocate. Running for the Board of Trustees was never part of my plan.

In 2022, I began canvassing for Natomas Teachers Association-endorsed school board candidates. Walking neighborhoods and talking with families throughout the district gave me a broader perspective on both the strengths of our schools and the challenges facing our community.

During the 2026 teachers' strike, I became even more involved in supporting educators and advocating for our schools. After the strike, teachers, friends, and community members encouraged me to run. When I kept hearing the same message from people I respected, I realized I could continue serving Natomas in a different way.

Those conversations also revealed a common concern: too many people feel disconnected from the decisions that affect their schools.

Natomas is filled with incredible students, dedicated educators, and families who care deeply about public education. But too often, parents don't feel heard, teachers don't feel valued, and families of students with special needs feel like they have to fight for the support their children deserve. Our schools are strongest when every voice is welcomed, respected, and part of the conversation.

As our district continues to grow, we need to make thoughtful, long-term investments that strengthen our classrooms, support and retain great teachers, and prepare our schools for the future. I'm running because I believe every decision should begin with one simple question:

Will this help students succeed?

I'll bring that perspective to every conversation, every decision, and every vote—listening first, working collaboratively, and recognizing that every school has different strengths, challenges, and needs.

How I’ll Lead

The conversations that inspired me to run also shaped the principles that will guide every decision I make as your Trustee.

Prioritizing Students.

Every decision must begin with what's best for students.

Empowering Teachers.

Great schools begin with great educators — and I'll fight to support them.

Building Trust.

Transparency and collaboration are the foundation of stronger schools.
